My husband and I recently purchased Thayer Birding Software's Guide to Birds. We have installed version 3.54. When we try to "add" to "Birds I saw" or use any other feature that includes a date subroutine, we get the following message:
"Calender Widgets 1.0" We click on OK and get the following error message:
eviewer
Run-time error '372'
Failed to load control 'SSDateCombo' from SSCALA32.OCX.
Your version of SSCALA32.OCX may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application."
If we click on OK at this point, the program crashes. I opened a ticket several days ago, but did so using my husband's email address since he is the primary birder and I am the household computer guru. However, if he received a response, he deleted it thinking it was spam. Now I cannot seem to access the technical support portion of the web site.
My genealogy program on the same computer uses SSCALA32.OCX dated 9/27/1999. The version in the Windows system32 folder is dated 4/3/2001. The version that came with Thayer Birding Software is dated 11/5/1997. We are running Windows XP Home.
Please advise. |
