Reading about the new 3.9 features there are improvements to functionality, but the only mention of content relates to taxanomic and checklist changes.  I take it then that there were no significant changes to the pictures and songs?

Thanks!

That is correct. There were no major changes to the photos or the songs included in v3.9 vs. v3.5. The version 3.9.1 update does fix the Blackpoll Warbler song.

Version 3.9.1 was totally rewritten in a new programming code. As a result, the program works better, works with Vista and works on a Macintosh computer. (Mac version to be released about November 30th). There are also photos that appear when you download songs to your iPod with v3.9.

The most significant change was to the state/province CDs and to Birds of Canada. Each CD had more species added. In some cases, as many as 100 additional birds now appear. Checklists were also updated, as you mention.
