Free Updates to the Current Version: We offer free updates to your existing program periodically throughout the year. For any major version, there are often many free updates. Our free updates are delivered over the Internet to your computer in two pieces. You can check for these free updates at any time. Simply open your birding program and click Help and then click Check for Updates. If an update is available, download it, close the program and then install the free update. Now do this again. The second update is usually the larger of the two.
Free Downloads: Occasionally you may need a special file that your computer is missing. Or we may create a small file that fixes unusual problems only a few folks are having. These are all available as free downloads. Go here, select the download you want, and download it to your computer. In most cases all you need to do is double-click the file. The installation Wizard will then start the program and install the new features on your computer.

Version History: This shows the chronological changes made to the program since it was first released in 1994. To find out which version you are running, click "Help" in the program Menu bar and then clicking "About."
New Version 4: Get the latest version of the software. Read all about the many new features, including the ability to download songs and photos to an iPod. Version 4 works on Windows or Mac computers.
Free Update to Version 3.5.4 from Version 3.5: Version 3.5 was released in March 2006. If you are still using this version, make sure you have upgraded to the free version 3.5.4. It was released on September 23, 2006.
