Identify unknown birds using color, size, sounds and more

Select a location - where were you when you saw the bird?
Results appear on the right. We already reduced the possibilities to just 363.



Select a size - how big was the bird?
Select two or more sizes if you are not sure.



What was the habitat where you saw the bird?



What color was the bird?
So far we have narrowed our choices down to just 36 species.



Did you notice any field marks on the bird?
(You can leave things unchecked)



Do you know which Order, Family or Genus the bird belongs to?



Did you hear the bird? Select song type and/or song pattern
Click the descriptive buttons to hear a sample; click again for another sample.



The two tabs on the right will show both a written description of your choices
and a complete list of the birds.

You can also take a quiz on these birds, save the list of birds as a Custom list, uncheck individual birds and more using the File and Edit tabs at the top of the ID Wizard.

Click Photo Gallery to see all the birds that match your description.
