1. Version 4 will run on Mac computers running Snow Leopard (10.6), Leopard (10.5) and Tiger (10.4)

2. Version 4 is Windows 7 compatible. Version 4 runs on 32-bit and 64-bit computers.

3. There are now 275 video clips, rather than 90.

4. Detailed Range Maps now show Central and South American winter ranges as well as detailed outlines of states and provinces and major rivers.

5. The ID Wizard now displays birds in the Photo Gallery in two different ways - the primary view shows males in breeding plumage and the secondary view shows females, immatures or birds in flight.

6. It is easier to find a bird. Accidental and very rare birds have been moved to the Gold edition - version 5. There are now 700 species in Guide to Birds of North America. The State/Province version includes 300 species for each area.

7. You can now sort by Banding Codes.

8. The bird's common and scientific names as well as taxonomic sort order have been updated to match the American Ornithologist's Union 50th update.

9. Five new Quick Links to online resources were added to show bird images and more.

10. The electronic User's Manual has been updated - including more Mac computer tips.

11. The Guide to Birds of North America price has been reduced from $84.95 to $69.95

12. The Birds of My State/Province price has been reduced from $49.95 to $29.95
