04/16/2008 12:38 AM Alert

I have successfully downloaded and transfered all 707 bird songs to my ipod.  I have also created playlists that are essentially subfolders of all of the 707 birdsongs.  i.e. gulls, shorebirds,  ducks/geese.  My problem is that when scrolling through my playlist titles I have all of my bird family categories lumped in with the complete 707 bird songs.  This makes for a long list of titles (possibly 20) to scroll through.  I realize that this problem is realitivly minor compared to scrolling through 707 bird songs.  My question is can I places these examples of playlists as subcategories under all 707 bird songs in itunes?  In other words, can I create a album titled all 707 bird songs and then create tracks that are labeled as the above mention subfolders of family categories? and then have specific bird songs in each category. I am trying to clean up my playlist folders and make accessing individual bird songs much easier than scrolling through 707 songs.  It would be much easier to open album of bird songs and then find a track labled wrens  to listen to a marsh wren.

For example:  The album name would be All 707 Bird Songs then  I could create tracks such as gulls, shore birds, etc and within each track I could open up specific bird songs.  For example under the album All 707 Bird Songs I could scroll to Gulls and then locate the song Franklin Gull to be played.

If you can understand what I am asking then is it possible?

Thank you.  emm

I have one master list of all 708 songs. Then I created other playlists and just dragged and copied the bird songs from the master list to the new playlist. So what you are suggesting sounds as if it will work fine.

We just added a new v3.9 video on exporting songs to an iPod. Take a look at this for one way to do this.
