v3.5 - Invalid call to compare versions

Problem: During an installation of v3.5 I received the message "Invalid call to compare versions...".


Solution: There's a bug in the installation for version 3.5.0 through version 3.5.3.

Use the Registry Editor to look for a specific file. Do this by clicking the Start button in the lower left corner of your screen and then type REGEDIT into the box and hit the return key. Now look for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE . Click the plus sign in front of this. Then click the plus sign in front of the word Software. Then look for Thayer Birding Software". If it's there, that's your problem. Delete it.
