Program Runs in Administrator Account but Not in Personal Accounts
Problem: I recently purchased "Guide to Birds of North America, v 3.9. In my Windows Vista Business account computer, I installed your software within my administrator user account in my D drive. Within that account, the software works. When I switch user accounts back to my personal account and try to run your software, I get the following Unknown License Error message: "Access to the path 'D:\Program Files\Thayer Birding Sotware\eViewer 3.9\eViewer.lic' is denied." Solution: Any time you see an "Access denied" message from a Windows program, the problem is almost certainly in the permission settings within your computer's Windows settings. To change the permission settings for the Person account, try something like this: While in the Administrator account, right-click the Thayer eFieldGuide icon on your desktop. From here you can Allow or Deny permissions for the Personal account.
Left-click Properties
Click the Security tab (it may say Permissions in some versions of Windows)
Click on the Group or User name you want to change permissions for (System may be highlighted here -- you want to click on the user's name that is unable to see the program)
Click the Edit button
Click Add
Click OK
