If you just installed the program on a computer with Windows XP or Windows 2000 and you see error #339 with a message that includes the name of a file that it can't find (such as comdlg32.ocx or mscomctl.ocx), you have an installation problem.

The file the error message refers is one that should be installed on all Windows systems but, for some reason, our program can't find it or there's a conflict with another program.

One user told us: "I searched for Comdlg32.ocx on my old HP's hard drive (which I now have connected to my Dell) and found it.  All I did was copy it and paste it to C: > Windows > System32.  When I re-installed the birding software, it worked like a charm."
