v3.9 - Type Initializer Threw an Exception
Solution: You almost certainly have a 64-bit operating system on your computer. You will need to download and install the free 64-bit update on our web site. Go to www.ThayerBirding.com and place you mouse over the "Get Help" tab. Then scroll down to "Free Downloads" and then click on "64-bit computer update".
To check to see if you are running a 32-bit Operating System or a 64-bit Operating System:
click Start (circle in lower left of your screen)
click Control Panel
click System and Maintenance
click System
Then look in the System section for the System type.
This problem was solved beginning with v3.9.8 and v5.0.2.
If this solution does not work for you, please send us $15 (to cover shipping and handling costs) and your old disc (v3.9, v3.9.1, v3.9.5, v5.0 or v5.0.1 only) and mention that you got an error that says "Type Initializer Threw an Exception."
