Raven Lite Updates Not Working
When I click on YES, I get a "Download failed message ... could not download all updates. If there were documentation updates to download, be sure that you are not viewing the Raven Lite User's manual at this time. [I am not.] Please try again or contact raven_support@cornell.edu to report this problem."
Solution: Here is a solution that seems to work -- especially if you have Windows 7.
1. Access User Control Panel from Start Menu -> Control Panel -> User Accounts and Family Safety -> User Account
2. Click on User Account Control settings link.
3. Move the Slider to Never Notify
4. Click OK to make the change effective
5. Restart your computer.
6. Now open raven Lite and check for updates again. it should work fine this time.
Important: Repeat steps 1 through 5 and reset the Safety settings to their previos position.
Note:
We have discovered that many, many issues with the spectrogram and Raven Lite can be fixed by simply downloading the most recent version of iTunes and then restarting your computer. Once you download this file you will need to install it. When installing iTunes be sure you accept the most recent version of Quicktime as well.
