v3.5 - Many Strange Error Messages
Problem: I successfully installed the program first on my wife's computer (XP SP3) and then on my computer (XP SP3) but experienced configuration and execution problems in both cases. Both computers have three partitions - C: Operating Systems; D: Programs; and E: data. In both cases I Installed the application on the D Drive.

Solution: For security reasons only one user typically has Administrative
authority. Most users would have Limited Authority and routinely use those
accounts. When signed on with Administrative Authority the software works as
expected. However, when you are signed on as a user with Limited Authority, you will need to right click on the Thayer Birding icon and then select "Run as Administrator."
