My Spectrogram Is Not Working

Problem: I can open the Thayer Birding program and go to the Sound Recordings section and click on the spectrogram link next to the play and loop links, but nothing happens.

Solution: Raven Lite is a stand-alone program distributed by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. So for help, you would need to contact them directly.

However, we do know that you MUST have Quicktime and iTunes installed on your computer for Raven Lite to work properly. At the moment, Raven Lite depends on these two programs.

To get iTunes as a free download, go to the Apple.com iTunes web page.

To get Quicktime as a free download, go to the Apple.com Quicktime web page.

Note that for Snow Leopard, there's a little catch. You must set your Java VM to be the 32-bit version in order to get Raven Lite to be able to access 32-bit QuickTime in order to open your MP3 files. You can do this by running /Applications/Utilities/Java Preferences. There is more information about this on the Raven Help forum at:
